Spindle Compatibility

This suspension kit is available in two different versions, depending on the spindle installed on your truck.

Both versions maintain proper steering geometry and are specifically engineered for their respective spindle design.

Option 1 — Original Drum Brake Spindles

Designed for original Ford 7/8" kingpin drum brake spindles, which use bolt-on steering arms.

This version includes:

  • Bolt-on steering arm components
  • Correct steering arm height
  • Proper Ackermann geometry
  • Direct bolt-on installation
  • No cutting or welding

Option 2 — Factory Disc Brake Spindles

  • Correct steering arm height after lowering
  • Maintained steering geometry
  • Installation is primarily bolt-on; however, drilling and thread tapping of the steering components are required as part of the installation process. Full instructions are provided.
  • No cutting or welding

This solution allows factory disc brake trucks to retain proper steering characteristics after the 3-inch drop.
