Introducing the Collino 1969 Ford F-100

A New Benchmark for Pro Touring Trucks

Some builds start with aftermarket parts. This one started with a blank sheet of paper. Over the course of 18 months, Collino and Maipú Garage designed, engineered, manufactured and assembled a completely new Pro Touring truck beneath the timeless body of a 1969 Ford F-100.

Every major structural component was developed specifically for this project, combining CAD engineering, advanced manufacturing and real-world testing to create a truck capable of delivering modern sports car performance while preserving the unmistakable character of Ford's legendary pickup.

Everything Underneath Is New

The real story isn't the paint.

It's everything hidden underneath.

The foundation is the Collino CMB-0004 boxed-frame chassis, engineered to withstand modern horsepower while dramatically increasing torsional rigidity and suspension precision.

Up front, the truck features Collino's C-Truck independent front suspension, delivering accurate steering geometry, exceptional cornering stability and predictable handling.

Out back, a Four-Link suspension with a Watts linkage keeps the rear axle perfectly centered under acceleration, providing the traction and confidence expected from a modern performance vehicle.

"Designed to drive. Built to perform. Engineered to last."

Modern Ford Performance

Power comes from Ford's legendary Gen 4 Coyote V8, one of the most respected naturally aspirated performance engines available today.

Paired with Ford's sophisticated 10-speed automatic transmission, the drivetrain delivers effortless cruising, lightning-fast shifts and the kind of acceleration expected from today's highest-performing Pro Touring builds.

The objective wasn't simply horsepower.

It was creating a truck that feels balanced, refined and enjoyable whether it's attacking corners, cruising the highway or parked under the lights at a major automotive show.

Modern Technology Without Losing Its Soul

Although it looks like a classic pickup, the electronics are entirely contemporary.

Engine management, vehicle controls and electrical systems are fully integrated using modern technology, while Dakota Digital instrumentation blends vintage styling with precise digital information.

Additional features include:

  • Advanced engine management
  • Central electrical control module
  • Dakota Digital gauges
  • Modern air conditioning
  • Lightweight lithium battery
  • Custom LED lighting
  • Bespoke electrical and mechanical components

Every detail was selected with one goal in mind: OEM reliability inside a handcrafted Pro Touring build.

A Collaboration Built Around Excellence

Engineering alone doesn't create a world-class vehicle.

Execution does.

Body restoration, paintwork and final assembly were completed by Maipú Garage, integrating hundreds of components sourced from specialized suppliers across Argentina and the United States.

Forgeline wheels measuring 20x8.5 in front and 20x9.5 in the rear complete the package, giving the truck an aggressive stance without compromising real-world drivability.

More Than One Truck

This project represents far more than a single custom build.

It demonstrates what is possible when engineering, manufacturing and craftsmanship work toward one common objective.

For years, Collino has developed suspension systems, steering components, chassis and performance products used by enthusiasts around the world.

The 1969 Ford F-100 brings those individual components together into one complete vehicle—showcasing exactly what they were designed to achieve.

Built in Argentina.

Engineered for the world.

For Collino, this experience meant far more than a press or hospitality opportunity. It was a source of learning, inspiration, and validation to continue developing products and projects connected to high-performance motorsport.

Experiencing from the inside how an official Dakar-level team operates makes it clear just how far engineering, physical preparation, strategy, and mechanical reliability are pushed. Every detail inside the camp is designed to perform in some of the harshest conditions on the planet.

And that is exactly where the true value of these experiences appears: the knowledge born from the toughest competition in the world inevitably transfers into Ford production vehicles, as well as into the components and developments Collino continues to create for real-world and high-performance motorsport.
