At Collino we are introducing a new product: the Power Flange for AP engines with Solex carburetor—a development that reflects the value of collaboration between engine builders and Argentina’s industry.
On-track and dyno testing showed a real power increase of 1% to 3%.
We want to highlight the key collaboration of engine builder Ulises Bertone, whose experience and track work were essential to refining this product. His workshop stands out not only for the quality of its work and the number of engines prepared at the same time, but also for the resilience with which it recovered after a partial fire some time ago. That same spirit and commitment is reflected in every development today.
The Bertone family history is also part of Argentine motorsport. Decades ago, his father raced a car without a steering wheel—an example of ingenuity and passion that defines this engine house. Very soon, we’ll have the honor of hosting him at the Collino TV studios to share stories and lessons that are part of our motorsport heritage.
Technical Specs — Power Spacer (Flange)
The Collino Power Flange is manufactured from high-grade aluminum with CNC-machined diffusers to optimize intake airflow. Its design not only improves the speed and uniformity of the air-fuel mixture, but also reduces the pressure losses typical of Solex carburetors on AP engines.
Track and dyno testing showed a real power increase of 1%–3%, depending on engine setup. This translates into better low- and mid-range response, improved cylinder filling, and higher volumetric efficiency—critical in categories where regulations limit other modifications.
The part was also engineered to fit Turismo Pista Clase 3 regulations, ensuring a direct mount on the intake manifold with no additional adapters. Its low weight and the rigidity of machined aluminum ensure durability and repeatable performance even under intensive use.

The Turismo Pista framework
Turismo Pista is experiencing strong growth, and part of its appeal lies in technical regulations that allow certain freedoms and encourage creativity. This framework fosters a virtuous cycle: engine builders pursue innovative solutions, manufacturers convert that know-how into industrial products, and together we create an ecosystem that not only enriches local competition but also opens the door to Argentine products with export potential.
Ultimately, the Collino Power Flange is a concrete example of how synergy between the shop floor and industry can translate into innovation in the service of motorsport.
