Byte.Collino Qualified for the Fastest 33 of the iRacing Indy 500, Strengthening Its International Presence in the U.S. Oval Racing Market

The Argentine team Byte.Collino achieved a historic milestone by qualifying for the prestigious “Fastest 33” of the iRacing Indy 500, one of the most important and demanding events in global simracing. More than 1,250 drivers attempted to secure a spot on the main grid of the event, widely considered the virtual equivalent of one of the most iconic races in international motorsport.

The official broadcast of the competition, streamed through iRacing’s official channel, reached approximately 26,000 viewers, highlighting the continued growth and impact of simracing within the global motorsport ecosystem.

Lucas Davila represented Byte.Collino during the event and qualified in 26th position using a setup developed by Conti Sim Performance, one of the most respected technical organizations within the North American oval racing scene. Throughout the race, strategic communication and spotting duties were handled by Octavio Rondoletto.

In a race defined by constant pressure, high-speed traffic, and the need for absolute precision over 500 virtual miles, Lucas advanced ten positions to secure a strong P16 finish against some of the best oval racing specialists in the world.

The result represents another major step forward for the Argentine organization on the international stage while further strengthening Byte.Collino’s growing presence within the highly competitive U.S. oval and NASCAR simracing market.

Currently, Octavio Rondoletto and Chris Trepa are competing in the Road to Pro series for the eNASCAR Coca-Cola Series, the official pathway toward NASCAR’s top professional category within iRacing.

At the same time, Byte.Collino also collaborates with IRL (“In Real Life”) racing drivers — a term commonly used to differentiate traditional professional race car drivers from simracers — including Toro Rodriguez, currently linked to the ARCA Menards Series, and Austin Beers, reigning champion of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. Both drivers use products developed by Collino for training and competition purposes, reinforcing the company’s position as one of the few brands capable of developing solutions for both real-world motorsport and high-performance simracing.
