The best way to get to know a car is to push it to its limits. And when Ford Argentina trusts us to test its brand-new model—the Mustang GT Performance—we do so not only responsibly, but also passionately. That's how an unforgettable testing experience came about, in two very different but equally challenging settings: the legendary Rafaela oval track and the quarter-mile dirt track in the town of Vila, Santa Fe.
Asphalt: precision and power in the temple of speed
The day began at one of the most iconic venues in Argentine motorsports: the Autódromo Ciudad de Rafaela. There, the Mustangs unleashed their full potential on Circuit No. 2, combining fast straights with demanding curves. The GT Performance achieved an outstanding time: 1:17 per lap, with speeds of up to 245 km/h when braking for turn 1. A record worthy of competition cars, achieved by a street vehicle. The sound of the Coyote Gen 4 V8, revving hard with each acceleration, was the perfect soundtrack.

Mustang GT Performance: evolution in every detail
The Mustang GT Performance is the ultimate expression of sportiness within the GT line. It is equipped with a 5.0-liter Coyote Gen 4 V8 engine, capable of delivering 486 HP and 567 Nm of torque, improving both power and efficiency over its predecessor. The addition of dual intake with electronic throttle bodies and an active exhaust system allows for immediate response and a sound that evokes pure performance.
Compared to the conventional Mustang GT, this Performance version stands out for its more radical tuning: limited-slip Torsen differential, MagneRide adaptive suspension, six-piston Brembo brakes on the front axle, and high-performance tires mounted on specific 19" wheels. All this translates into firmer, more precise and agile dynamic performance, both on the track and on demanding stretches of road.

Dirt: mastery, skidding, and controlled chaos
The second stage took us to a completely different terrain: the Vila dirt oval, a short circuit that harks back to the roots of the most visceral motorsports. There, the Mustangs faced a new type of test: traction, agility, and handling in low-grip conditions. Together with Beppy Collino, one of our driving experts, we relived the spirit of the old days. Far from its natural habitat, the Mustang demonstrated surprising adaptability. On dirt, it's not just power that matters, but the ability to read the terrain, anticipate skidding, and maintain control when everything seems to be spinning out of control. It's an experience that tests both the driver and the machine.

Thanks to Ford Argentina
This test was a unique opportunity to take the vehicles to extreme conditions, experience different sensations, and confirm, once again, the excellence behind the Mustang brand.
We are deeply grateful to Ford Argentina for trusting us with this type of testing. We share the same values: a passion for cars, a constant quest for improvement, and a commitment to innovation. Experiences like these motivate us to continue exploring, developing, and communicating what we love: the automotive experience at its finest.
Asphalt or dirt? We choose both.
The exhaust that sets the Mustang's soul free
Part of this experience was made possible by the development of our new stainless steel exhaust system for the Ford Mustang GT, an exclusive Collino product designed in collaboration with @conforma.inox.
This exhaust was created for those who want to take performance and sound one step further, maintaining the original aesthetics but unleashing the full character of the V8. Made of high-quality stainless steel, it has a diameter of 3 inches and a total length of 78.74 inches, optimizing gas flow and delivering a deeper, sportier tone without the need for structural modifications.
It is important to note that this system does not include a catalytic converter, so it is intended for specific uses where performance is paramount.
