TWIN I-BEAM FRONT END – FORD BRONCO 4x4

The Collino Twin I-Beam front-end system for 4WD Ford Broncos was engineered to optimize suspension and steering performance on vehicles equipped with +3” or +4” oversized coil springs. This system restores proper geometry, delivering safe, stable, and predictable dynamic handling.
Unlike conventional lift solutions, this development corrects the inherent flaws of the Twin I-Beam suspension when increasing ride height. It allows for precise alignment of track width, camber, and caster. The result is a lifted Ford Bronco that maintains perfect alignment, highway stability, and total control in both urban and off-road environments.
Every component in this integral system has been designed to work in harmony, preserving the original geometry of the 4WD Twin I-Beam front axle while compensating for the lift.

SYSTEM COMPONENTS

Reinforced Pivot Drop Brackets:
The kit includes heavy-duty brackets for the I-Beam pivot points, designed to be installed on the original crossmember using factory locations. These brackets are longer and more robust than OEM units, compensating for the increased coil spring height. They are optimized for 440mm (uncompressed) coil springs—equivalent to a 4-inch lift—and include built-in track width correction.

Pitman Arm Conversion Kit:
To eliminate steering geometry issues, the system includes a kit to modify the original Pitman arm. This robust design relocates the drag link approximately 4 inches lower, maintaining correct steering angles on lifted vehicles. Note: Installation requires cutting, welding, and direct measurement on the vehicle.

Innovative Radius Arms:
Our radius arms (radius arms/wishbones) feature a groundbreaking design that utilizes original factory mounting points and bushings. They feature built-in caster correction to maintain proper front-end geometry. These components represent a technical innovation on an international scale.

Chassis Reinforcement:
The assembly is completed with a lower transverse reinforcement brace that connects both radius arm mounts beneath the powertrain, significantly increasing structural chassis rigidity in a high-stress area.

COMPATIBILITY & TECHNICAL SPECS

• Requirements: This kit requires lift-specific coil springs (440mm total free length) and shocks valved/sized for this specific travel.
• Integration: Designed to work seamlessly with original vehicle components for ease of assembly and long-term reliability.
• Reversibility: The system is completely reversible, allowing the vehicle to be returned to stock configuration without permanent chassis modifications, preserving the Bronco's historical value.

TECHNICAL VALIDATION & REAL-WORLD TESTING

This system was developed through rigorous reverse engineering on a 1981 Ford Bronco. The prototype vehicle arrived with severe front-end issues and was transformed into a perfectly handling machine with fully resolved steering and suspension geometry.
Extensive on-road and off-road testing ensures a product that performs under real-world conditions. The development of our caster-corrected radius arms has been validated by industry-leading technical experts, reinforcing Collino’s commitment to innovative, engineering-driven solutions.

INSTALLATION RECOMMENDATIONS

We recommend a thorough inspection of all suspension components prior to installation. A professional 4-wheel alignment is mandatory after installation to ensure optimal performance and tire wear.

PLEASE NOTE

Coil springs and shock absorbers are not included. These must be sourced as part of a lift system compatible with the 4-inch height and dimensions specified above.
